My story
Matt has always been an entrepreneur at heart…
… starting with his first business at the age of 15, he loved taking control of his own destiny, creating value and serving others. Though growing up in a challenging environment, Matt took advantage of the opportunities provided by education to complete a degree in electrical engineering and then went on to build a global career, living and working in Germany and across Asia Pacific.
Upon returning to Australia, he quickly moved into management and found he loved working ‘on’ the business rather than ‘in’ the business. Following his passion for business growth and development, Matt completed his MBA at Melbourne Business School and NYU Stern in New York and went on to become a leading business strategist working for some of Australia’s top companies and highest-performing executives.
With a first hand knowledge of what it takes to create a high performing business, Matt returned to his entrepreneurial roots to launch Fulilio - an award winning ecommerce logistics startup backed by Australia Post. Following his first-hand experience of the thrilling highs and crashing lows of building a business, Matt has dedicated his energy and passion to helping entrepreneurial leaders build high-performing businesses, healthy teams and thriving organisations.
Working with some of the best thought leaders in the world, Matt has researched and developed highly impactful tools and concepts to help leaders and organisations grow. In particular, Matt fell in love with the simplicity and effectiveness of EOS®, and combines this with tried and tested strategy frameworks and the latest science in high performance. Matt has worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs and businesses across a wide range of industries, and is highly sought after for his ability to deliver winning strategies and breakthrough results.
In addition to his work as a strategy coach and management consultant, Matt works extensively with private equity and venture capital investors, and is an experienced board director. He is a mentor at Melbourne Accelerator Program where he helps guide founders of early-stage startups, and is the founder of Growth Elements, which offers pro-bono strategy consulting to not-for-profits.
