From the ashes of 2023: Embracing Transformation and Giving Back

Through the fire

2023 will forever be burnt into my memory as the hardest year of my life.

My world was turned upside down, again and again - ending a 12 year marriage, becoming a full time single parent, the passing of my father, and then my mother.

I have been through some challenges before, though nothing as big and unrelenting as this.

As my world was burning, I found special people and places in my life that gave me the courage to go deep within myself, to move through multiple lifetimes of heartache and grief.

What I have found

And now as I stand in the ashes of what was my old life, having shed layers upon layers, I am left with a deep sense of peace and love within my heart.

Love for myself, for holding the space to do the inner work.

Love for the people in my life, the beautiful friends and amazing teachers, for supporting and guiding me.

And love for the place I now call home - the Surf Coast of Victoria - its environment, its community, for creating the container of life for this experience.

An open heart that feels called to give

I have received so much - the gift of this experience and inner transformation - kindness, support, wisdom - the feeling of belonging to a place and people - a sense of humility and respect for everyone on a similar journey.

In receiving so much I am feeling called to give, to serve, to support others.  Though, it’s more than a calling - with such a great gift comes a great responsibility.

We are all offered windows of opportunity in life, these moments where our words and our actions will shape who we are, and the impact we create in the world.

For me, this opportunity is now.

How I can make a difference

With limited resources, I am choosing to make a difference where I can have the greatest impact.

Firstly, in my home - being a present and caring father for my two children who have been through so much. For them, that means travelling less.

Secondly, in my community - I have a very unique set of skills and experiences that I use to support entrepreneurs and business owners, through my work as a coach.

What I have to offer

In 2024 I will be giving away $80,000 in pro-bono support to positive impact businesses on the Surf Coast of Victoria.

This means working with me over a period of 1 - 2 years, to help take their organisation and impact to the next level.

This work is not for the faint hearted - for participants there needs to be a strong willingness to grow and to change, and to shift their thinking of what they believe is possible.

A call to action

My life has forever changed - and I hope by offering this, it might just help to change their life as well.
